Some intresting storys on some projects i am involved in

One message before i begin i am not a ripper ... i do not rip anymore and that my friends is a promise .. read on for some interesting storys

Since i was told by Nadrew to stop running the SGO rip i had started my own project ... called Stargate beginnings ... i had then asked Android DATA if he would like to help out with the project at first he said no .. but he then entered the game and saw the progress i was making and he said he will join the project , however his terms were he would get full ownership and he would manage the game .. now him being more experiance i accepted these terms and i stepped down as project owner ... he assured me i was an equal to him however i dont have the title "owner" or "manager"... and i am now iconing in SGNB ...

Long before i started work on SGNB however me , rah35 and Jan9ster started work on a doctor who game ... Doctor Who Beginnings ... now yes the stargate game got its name from that project ... anyway about 4 days into the project we were quite far into it we had working TARDIS and weapons etc ... we got a message from Reeve asking if we wanted to come and work with him ... now at first we were unsure of what we should do , but surely enough we acceoted reeves offer and became a part of the DWL team with Rah and Jan9ster9 as coders and me as an iconer .

Well welcome to the team boys but there's some things i would like to say.

1) The thing with Data becoming owner etc. You have now been screwed over. There's a long history for Data and tbh it's not a pretty one but whatever. You're choices there.

2)Looking forward to the help and working with you all. The more the merrier as i always like to say.

3) Finally well welcome to DWL.

Now before i finish i would like to say some things that me, Reeve and Zeldy agreed on.

1) You 3 will not get source files yet because of being new commers we need to build up trust. Hope you's can understand that. It was that way with all of us when we joined. (You may contribute what you have done but because of the trust thing at this moment me personally will not hold any grudge if you decline that)

2) At this moment you are part of DWL Staff, there is no denying that but once you have proven how dedicated you's are you will be put onto the Dev team. This is to assure how dedicated you's are and to see if our trust will not be misplaced and of course for what work you put in you will be rewarded but i please ask that you do not ask for source unless you feel that we can trust each other fully and not ask to be on the dev team untill you feel that you're contributions speak for themselfs. Me speaking personally it took me some time to get to where i am now but i've been in DWL for a year and it's been on and off the work-rate since then.

3) Respect each other and respect will be given back. Being part of a team involves getting along so respecting each other could stop arguements from breaking out. Remember it's not just you's that have to respect us. We have to do the same wgich is why i'm assuming that we're all on DWL just now.

4) Decisions are made within a group and not by one person so don't be afraid to tell everyone you're ideas because they will be heard and if it's a good idea you will hzave support but don't support an idea because it's you're mates idea. Do it because it is genuinely a good idea.

LASTLY!!
5) Obvioulsy like i said speaking out of experience DWL has been around for more a year (Before I joined) and it's not properly finished yet so we're not paticulary in a rush but the more people who get pumped up to do this. The more the group will get involed. So don't keep people out of the loop because it could be the wake up for them to join in again.

Any problems with staff members tell Me, Nick or Zeldy depending on who the complaint is about obviously and we'll deal with it properly.

One last thing. Me speaking out of experience from a computing cours for 2 years and now a cours on games dev. We should all get togeather and work on these main stages,

Well that's good. Nick was a bit un-comfortable about my post and said to wait and see what was said. Admitidally it does seem dicish and i'm glad that you understand that we're being cautous rather than being un-fair.

Yes, sorry for you having been out of the loop for sometime now. These forums have been online for awhile though and i've only recently reactivated them in hopes that we can have an efficient channel for discussion and communication. You haven't really missed much. Razz
